Pie Day With Your Legislators

Our legislators work long arduous hours and have to deal daily with angry constituents, frustrated lobbyists, and focus groups who always have their hand out and want the legislator to do something for them. While they all know this will be a part of the job, it can often be stressful and discouraging.
Join us as allies on March 17th, as we stand together to encourage and lift up our legislators and their staff with a simple thank-you.
Being an Ally is more than just delivering packets to our legislators, it is also taking the time to get to know them and there is no better way than over a piece of pie and a cup o' joe. We need families who are willing to take an hour out of their day and join us at the Capitol with a pie and a smile. We are not asking you to debate a bill or discuss a piece of legislation, rather we are asking you to build relationships with your elected officials and their staff. Light-hearted conversation can often be a needed retreat in the midst of the pressures and difficulties that come with serving you as a legislator.
Training for this position is NOT required.

WHAT TO BRING: PIES

We are looking for individuals to purchase & donate individual turnover style pies. (NOT large pies or slices) We need at least 300 pies so that all of the legislators and their assistants can receive a goody from us.
